Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba has been released on Netflix in 9th August. In which Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Jimmy Shergill and Sunny Kaushal will be seen in lead roles.

Its story starts from the same place in 2021 from where the story of Haseen Dilruba ended, so let us first tell you what happened in the previous film, Rishu (Vikrant Massey) and Rani (Taapsee Pannu) get married but all is not well with the marriage. This is going on because Rani (Taapsee Pannu) does not love Rishu (Vikrant Massey), one day Rishu’s cousin Neil (Harshwardhan Rane) comes to stay at their house. Rani gets attracted to Neil and both establish physical relations.

When Rishu comes to know about this, he starts hating Rani, but gradually Rani starts falling in love with Rishu. In such a situation, the couple decides to remove Neel from their way to avoid the trouble of police and jail. They carry out this incident in such a way that it appears that it is not Neel but Rishu who died and Rani’s husband Rishabh i.e. Rishu (Vikrant Massey) had cut off his hand to save Rani. At the end of the first film, Rishu is dead to the world and Neil is missing.

The second part starts from here. Now Rani and Rishu have fled from Jwalapur and come to Agra. Rishu (Vikrant Massey) is now living his life as Ravi. Rani (Taapsee Pannu) runs her own parlor. Both are living hiding from the police in Agra. There too, their life is not easy, while on one hand Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal) has fallen madly in love with Rani, while Rishu’s landlady Poonam (Bhumika Dubey) is desperate to have physical relations with him.

Now that Rishu is dead to the world, these people meet secretly, their plan is to leave the country forever and move forward with their lives peacefully, but in the meantime a new player enters the story, one of them is Mrityunjay Paswan. (jimmy shergill) who is a relative of Neel and Rishu and is also in the police, he spoils the plan of Rishu and Rani.

Mrityunjay Paswan suspects that Rishu is not dead and that he is secretly meeting Rani, hence he deploys policemen within a two kilometer radius of Rani’s house, yet Rishu and Rani fool the police and meet several times.

Then comes Abhimanyu Babu who has fallen in love with Rani. Rani feels that the police’s suspicion on him is deepening, in such a situation she meets Abhimanyu and in the second meeting itself asks him for marriage and he also agrees. Rani goes and marries Abhimanyu for her own benefit.

Rani is as attractive as she is smart and cunning. Sunny Kaushal has played the character of Abhimanyu. Do you think that Rishu and Rani have become crazy in love? Then comes the entry of Abhimanyu. His back story is such that it is like the crime patrol of both Rani and Rishu. Life may weigh heavily on him but the character of Abhimanyu never becomes a part of the film completely and the story remains miss massive.

Actors like Jimmy Shergill and Aditya Srivastava have played the role of policemen who are investigating the case of death of relationships.

Then in Haseen Dilruba, along with Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, Jimmy Shergill and Bhumika Dubey will be seen as new characters. The work of every actor is fantastic. Every character of the film will be seen becoming darker along with the story. Especially that Sunny Kaushal’s acting is amazing, he has done justice to the kind of character given to him. Bhumika Dubey has also looked very good in her character.

Jimmy Shergill has been seen as a new police officer who is shown to be a very close relative of Neil who was killed in the first part of the story. Also, like last time, Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey have deepened the color of this story full of love and blood with their acting this time too.

How Is The Movie

This sequel of Taapsee Pannu has shown that it is not necessary that the sequels of films are always bad. The story can be expanded further and that has happened here. Although at some places you may feel that the film is moving a little slowly, but the upcoming twists will not let you get up from your seat. We all know that Queen of Haseen Dilruba and Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba is a fan of Dinesh Pandit’s books.

This time, less intimate scenes have been seen in the film than last time. The story has been left at this end where there is still scope to take it forward. The song ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ played in the voice of Kishore Kumar in the film is one of the best parts of the film. It is clear from Part 1 and Part 2 that the makers of ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’ want to create a loyal audience for it, who wants to watch the next part while remembering the story of each part.

Didn’t Think Of Sequel

There is a dialogue in the beginning of the film that what is love that does not cross the limits of madness, relationships are maintained in consciousness. When Taapsee speaks this dialogue, it seems that the madness of love will be more than the previous film. However this does not happen. The writer of this film, Kanika Dhillon, had told that the thought of a sequel had not come to mind during the first part.

That thing is reflected in the story, because this time the characters of Rani and Rishu are not as fast-paced as before. There is also a crocodile angle in the story, which is shown again and again in the climax for thrill, although the same thing destroys that thrill. Considering the dark zone of the film, cinematographer Vishal Sinha’s work is excellent.

Direction Review

Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba has been directed by Jaiprad Desai and the writer of the film is Kanika Dhillon.  Both direction and writing are amazing. Seeing the direction and story flow of the film, you feel that you are watching a book story on screen. Jaiprad Desai has done a great job of telling Dinesh Pandit’s story through real characters.
