Billionaire Island Review
Marlex’s CEO, Julie Lange (Trine Wiggen), is not popular in the Norwegian fishing community. Nevertheless, when a major shareholder of rival salmon fishing company Meyer Fjordbrook suddenly dies, she does not hesitate to quietly meet with the deceased’s aunt on the morning of her own daughter’s confirmation ceremony.
However, Gjert Meyer (Sven Roger Karlsen), the CEO of Meyer Fjordbrook, also has his grandson’s confirmation ceremony on the same day, and he soon learns about Lange’s plan to oust him and his board and merge both companies. It’s a nasty business, and each of them, along with their families, will do everything they can to maintain their power in the industry.

Technical Aspect
The series’ cinematography is quite colorful, successfully engaging the audience. All the comedy dialogues added to the story are fully successful in making the audience laugh. The water scenes shown in the series have a real feel to them.
Flaws
The biggest flaw of the series is that the average viewer may not feel connected to its story because the lifestyle depicted is quite lavish. Only a few parts have been released so far, which could prove to be a major drawback for the series.

Final Verdict
If you enjoy watching extravagant lifestyles, luxury cars, and lavish mansions, and don’t mind any nudity depicted, then you can watch this web series. However, the series is rated A, meaning you will encounter many vulgar scenes and profanity, so it’s best not to watch it with your family.
Conclusion
This series beautifully blends the characters’ professional lives with their personal drama. Both aspects significantly influence each other. There is a ridiculously emotional scene where Amy Martin (Audgjerd Thoen) helps with masturbation (he goes to a clinic to get his sperm tested). Additionally, a scene related to an embarrassing film screening is not shown loudly, avoiding an easy attempt to score points.
With a cast made up of Norwegians, Indians, Arabs, and Koreans, Billionaire Island ranks high on the diversity scale. Yet, after six episodes, you feel that this season could have used a few more episodes. Some characters and events don’t develop properly, and the story never becomes very exciting or chaotic. Billionaire Island feels like an imitation of a great corporate drama.
